Frequently Asked Questions

Who can you treat?

I can treat any adults located in Illinois or Massachusetts for teletherapy sessions. I specialize in working with folks who have experienced childhood emotional neglect and trauma, which often presents as anxiety.

I have anxiety but I don’t have a history of childhood emotional neglect. Can we still work together?

We may still be able to work together even if you haven’t experienced childhood trauma. Please reach out and we can discuss if I might be a good fit for you.

Is Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy the only kind of therapy you can do?

IFS is my primary treatment approach, but I do integrate it with other modalities. I use my best clinical judgment in the moment, coupled with my experience and training, to make sure I am using the most effective interventions for you. I also have experience and training with other modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Narrative Therapy. I am additionally always growing as a therapist and working to stay up-to-date on current treatment recommendations.

Do you do work with kids, couples, or families?

I work with adults for individual therapy. I do not provide couples or family therapy. In rare instances, I occasionally work with older teenagers.

Do you accept my insurance?

I am in-network with all Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) PPO plans. I am out-of-network with all other plans.

If you do not have a BCBS PPO plan but you have out-of-network benefits with another plan, I can provide receipts that you can use to request reimbursement from your insurance company.

How much will sessions cost?

My rate for an initial intake session is $175. My rate for regular 55-minute session is $150.

Are you meeting in-person or online?

I am conducting all sessions via telehealth. I am not able to offer in-person sessions at this time.

Where are you located?

I live in Chicago. I can see anyone who is currently in Illinois for telehealth sessions. I moved to Chicago from Boston in 2023. I continue to maintain my Massachusetts license and can see anyone currently located in Massachusetts for telehealth sessions.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

What is your license information (and why do you have so many initials after your name)?

I am licensed to practice as an independent clinical social worker in Illinois and Massachusetts.

Illinois: LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) 149025919

Massachusetts: LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) 123138
